This May, Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh invites the young artists of Cam Lam to embark on a creative voyage where imagination meets the sea. Dive into a world of colour, collaboration, and purpose as we launch our most exciting community event yet. It’s the Ocean Guardians Art Competition 2026.
Against the backdrop of our shimmering coastline, teams of secondary school students will transform recycled materials such as plastic bottles, cardboard, and discarded utensils into magnificent, large-scale sea creatures. From fearsome sharks to graceful sea turtles, every sculpture will tell a powerful story of ocean conservation and the beauty that emerges
when creativity meets purpose.
Throughout the day, young creators will work together to bring their wireframe sea animals to life with paint, texture, and imagination, in a true “Trash to Treasure” celebration of art and sustainability. Whether sculpting shimmering dolphin scales from bottle caps, crafting a whale’s sweeping tail from flattened cardboard, or painting the ocean’s depths in vivid colour, every team will leave their mark on our resort. Join us for the Summer Grand Opening on May 29th, 2026, where we will celebrate our young creators, announce the winners, and present the awards!
Once completed, these magnificent Ocean Guardians will take their place as an eco-art installation along our resort’s pathways and beach area throughout the summer as a living tribute to the ocean we all share, crafted by the hands of our local community.
