Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate Social Responsibility

At Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh giving back to people and the planet is life’s greatest pleasure and at Mövenpick, this wholesome ethos is at the very core of our globally renowned sustainability programme. Our refreshing approach to nourishing the environment, our people and the local communities where we operate our hotels and resorts, serving them with care and respect and nurturing them with dedicated best-in-class programmes, has earned us recognition as a global sustainability leader. We divide our practices into three easy-to-digest slices – Environment, Employer and Social Sustainability – with education a vital ingredient of each. From hiring and empowering local people and promoting diversity and quality, to saving energy, reducing waste and feeding guests from our own organic gardens, we indulge in best practices that cultivate a sustainable future for all.

Kilos Of Kindness

As Mövenpick’s annual good deed, our Kilo of Kindness was run from Oct 1st to 31st with the aim to raise a collection of books, clothing, home supplies, stationery, and food for children. With a total of 2,294 kg, this will aid in their academic performance while also actively contributing to the improvement of the children’s living situations in this region. It is such a delight our good deed helps brighten the world little by little.

Our Commitment To Our Planet

We, along with the millions of other living forms around, call Cam Ranh our particular home. Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh has initiated and developed our sustainable programs in an effort to save our ecology.

Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh is thrilled to share the news of our HACCP Certification for Food Safety! This prestigious certification underscores our steadfast dedication to ensuring safety and upholding excellence in every aspect of culinary preparation.

This achievement reflects our ongoing commitment to implementing rigorous measures that meet international food safety standards. At Mövenpick, we prioritize the well-being of our guests, and the HACCP Certification is a testament to the meticulous processes in place to deliver safe and high-quality dining experiences.

Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh formally debuted its premium eco-friendly in-room amenities, which are made of 99.9% petroleum-free plastic. The resort offers visitors a variety of biodegradable amenities, like wheat husk toothbrushes, a wooden comb, a cornstarch razor, and paper stick cotton buds encased in non-woven wrapping. With sustainability measures and brand commitments to guarantee the resort is having a positive influence on the environment, the new array of amenities demonstrates a strong commitment to protecting the island’s naturally gorgeous ecosystems.

By leaving old towels on the ground in order to request a clean supply, we encourage our visitors to assist us in protecting the environment. There will be no replacement of towels hanging up and stored on racks. Every two days, bed linens are supposed to be changed. However, visitors can let us know if they want the bed linens changed more regularly. Additionally, for the sake of sustainable development aims, visitors are encouraged to reuse toiletry kits filled with shampoo, shower gel, razors, and other items during their stay. However, we are happy to help if they want to renew everyday. Funding for tree planting comes from water and energy savings.

  • Providing wholesome, well-balanced, and premium food made with locally sourced ingredients. This reduces packaging, cuts transportation pollution, and enhances the local quality of life.
  • Through the Winnow Program, we employ AI to reduce kitchen food waste. Cameras on waste bins identify discarded food, and with scales measuring the weight, staff input reasons and calculate the cost. This data guides the Chef in making long-term adjustments to reduce waste and expenses.
  • Implementing recycling programs to reduce our environmental impact.

Aluminium water cans are replaced by recyclable glass bottles at our resort in order to create a better planet. This is the perfect solution to help minimize the use of single-use plastics, cut carbon emissions, and significantly lower the cost of canned water without sacrificing the flavour or quality of the water. In our resort’s campaign against plastic, this new project represents a significant turning point.

The private beach and its surroundings will be cleaned by heartists from each department for an hour. Each beach cleanup will likely recover around 30 kg of debris that has washed ashore. Our goal is to spread knowledge about beach cleaning, decrease litter, save the ocean, and aid in educating people about the effects of littering and plastic pollution.

Rice paper straws, which are biodegradable and eatable, have taken the role of plastic straws. The resort’s grounds are furnished with both paper and glass cups. These are not only healthier for our visitors but also better for the environment.

In order to leave as little of a carbon imprint as possible, we shall reuse the beach sandals and fabric slippers that are offered in the guest room as many times as is permitted.
