Environmental stewardship lies at the core of modern hospitality, and Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh is paving the way by integrating eco-friendly practices into every aspect of the guest experience. From green initiatives to community engagement, the resort empowers travelers to enjoy responsible luxury while contributing to a more sustainable future.
Certification
Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh is proud to be awarded the Green Globe Certification for three consecutive years, 2023 and 2024 and 2025 recognizing our strong commitment to sustainable hospitality.
As part of the Green Globe programmer – aligned with the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, we integrate eco-friendly practices across all operations. These include reducing food waste with WINNOW GAIA 2.0, conserving energy and water, sourcing local products, managing waste responsibly, saying no to plastic, and supporting community initiatives like Kilo of Kindness.

Partnership
TERAO
In September 2023, Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh proudly partnered with TERAO, a global leader in green building engineering and energy efficiency, to launch a bold multi-year Sustainability Investment Plan integrated with Accor’s GAIA 2.0 platform.
Our strategic goal is to reduce energy consumption by 30% by 2030, marking a decisive step toward long-term environmental stewardship. Together with TERAO, Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh leads the way toward a greener, smarter, and more sustainable tomorrow.

360° Green Commitment
1. Energy
Since 2019, Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh has advanced its sustainability journey with the installation of a solar-powered hot water system, reducing carbon emissions and boosting energy efficiency.
In 2024, despite expanded operations, the resort achieved an 8.5% reduction in electricity use per occupied room night, surpassing its 5% energy-saving target.
From 2025 onwards, the resort will further its commitment by installing 15 solar-powered streetlights along the public beach, promoting renewable energy within the community.
2. Water
In April 2024, Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh introduced a rainwater reuse system for landscaping, supporting its zero-waste goal by reducing freshwater use and operational costs. The resort also limits single-use plastics by eliminating plastic bottles and encouraging refill stations.
Since 2022, water use per occupied room has been tracked, with a 14.2% reduction achieved by late 2024—exceeding targets through team efforts and improved water systems.
These actions lay the groundwork for continued water sustainability into 2025 and beyond.
3. For our guests
- Farm to table: Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh grows fresh vegetables and herbs on-site, using them directly in guest meals. This farm-to-table approach ensures freshness, enhances nutrition, and reduces the carbon footprint from food transport.
- Resort’s sourcing: The resort has planted over 1,600 coconut trees, regularly harvesting and serving them fresh to guests. This initiative connects visitors with nature and promotes the use of local, sustainable resources.
- Sustainability games: Children can take part in indoor activities that use natural and recycled materials, such as leaf folding and crafting animals from reused paper—encouraging early environmental awareness through creative play.
4. For our community
- Art Competition: Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh fosters environmental awareness and community engagement through initiatives like the annual Fur-tastic Park event. In April 2025, the Fur-tastic Art Competition gathered 80 students from 12 Cam Lâm schools to creatively explore the theme “Fur-tastic Summer.” Their artwork, now displayed in Swiss Village, celebrates wildlife and conservation. Beyond art, the event empowers youth with scholarships and inspires them to become future environmental stewards.
- Kilo of Kindness 2024: In October 2024, as part of the “Kilo of Kindness” campaign, Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh renovated Khanh Thuong Primary School, improving learning spaces for ethnic minority children. The team also provided food supplies and hosted a fun activity day with light meals, spreading kindness and inspiring hope for the next generation.
- Celebrating world’s environment days: Our commitment to planetary stewardship was further highlighted on March 22, 2025, when Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh proudly participated in Earth Hour and World Water Day. Through symbolic acts like switching off lights and raising awareness about global water scarcity, we joined millions worldwide in honoring our responsibility to protect the environment.
- Beach cleaning: Every 22nd of the month has become a special reminder of our shared responsibility to the planet, beautifully aligning with global observances like Earth Hour (March), Earth Day (April), and the International Day for Biological Diversity (May). At Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh, our monthly beach cleanups—starting from Mövenpick Beach and expanding to Bai Chuoi in Ninh Thuan—have grown into a meaningful movement. Together, we’ve helped keep our coastlines clean, protect marine life, and raise awareness. Your efforts make a lasting impact—let’s keep this momentum going.
Sustainability Starts With You
At Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh, we believe that sustainability begins with small, mindful choices made every day.
Guests are encouraged to opt out of daily towel and bed linen changes unless necessary, helping to conserve water and reduce energy consumption. We also recommend you minimize the use of single-use items, such as toothbrushes and toiletries, unless truly needed.
Simple actions like turning off lights, air conditioning, and electronic devices when leaving your room or villa can make a significant impact on our shared environmental goals.
At the buffet, we kindly ask that you only take what you can eat to avoid unnecessary food waste. Every thoughtful action you take during your stay helps us preserve the natural beauty of Cam Ranh, reduce our environmental footprint, and build a more sustainable future together.
Thank you for your contribution – which truly makes a difference.
